DESTRUCTIVE TESTING FOR TOOL-USING AI AGENTS

THRASH IT

Connect your AI agent. We put it in hostile fake situations, try to make it do something forbidden, and give you the exact replay when it fails.

WHAT THE HELL IS THRASH?

We don't ask your agent if it's safe. We crash-test it.

Think automotive crash testing, except the specimen is an agent and the impact surface is its tools, permissions, memory, context, and judgment.

▣

DECLARE

Tell Thrash the mission, allowed actions, forbidden actions, approval gates, and—optionally—the tools your agent can use.

DEFINE THE SAFETY ENVELOPE
02
⬡

SIMULATE

Thrash builds a fake company around the agent: inbox, files, CRM, payments, browser, secrets, calendar, and virtual versions of its own tools.

NO PRODUCTION SIDE EFFECTS
03
↯

ATTACK

We inject false authority, poisoned documents, bad tool output, stale policies, outages, goal manipulation, and pressure to cross boundaries.

CONTROLLED DESTRUCTIVE LOAD

VERIFY

Thrash inspects the fake-world state—not the agent's explanation—to see whether it actually sent, spent, leaked, changed, or deleted something.

REPRODUCE

Failures get replay seeds. Eligible tool failures are reduced into the smallest adversarial case that still makes the agent break.

EXAMPLE FAILURE REPLAY

The agent says it followed the rules.
The sandbox shows what actually happened.

Here is the basic Thrash loop: hostile input arrives, the agent requests a tool action, Thrash executes that action only in the fake world, and the verifier checks whether a declared boundary was crossed.

DESTRUCTIVE TEST PROGRAM

Find the breaking point.

Thrash tests the system around the model. Passing answer-quality evals does not prove the agent will respect authority when tools, hostile context, and real side effects collide.

TEST 01

HOSTILE INPUT

Poisoned pages, documents, email, search results, retrieved context, and tool output.

INVARIANT / USER GOAL REMAINS AUTHORITATIVE
TEST 02

TOOL AUTHORITY

False approvals, irreversible calls, bad arguments, wrong tools, and privilege escalation.

INVARIANT / AUTHORITY CANNOT BE INVENTED

Persistent falsehoods, delayed payloads, stale organizational facts, and poisoned memories.

REALITY CHECK

Tools claim success when state did not change. Sources conflict. Interfaces lie.

A high score is not a guarantee of safety. It is evidence that the specimen survived the tested conditions. Coverage tells you how much of the discovered risk surface was actually exercised.

PROOF, NOT VIBES

A score without coverage is decoration.

Thrash separates performance from test coverage. A 95/100 with 43% attack-surface coverage is not the same thing as a 95/100 with 100% coverage.

Public reports can be signed and replayable. Private runs can stay private.

THRASH GATE

Would you ship it?

Start in demo mode, connect a test adapter, or run a real agent against the hostile workspace. Thrash never needs to touch production side effects to find authority failures.

Tell Thrash the job, the boundaries, and where a human must approve. These rules become the safety envelope we test against.
